PAINTING FOR CHARITY SILENT AUCTION IN SUPPORT OF THE NORTHERN RANGELANDS TRUST

Raising money for the Northern Rangelands Trust to help in the fight against poaching. 100% of all funds raised will go to this great Conservation Trust www.nrt-kenya.org

Almost daily we are bombarded with the sickening images of Elephant and Rhino killed and brutalized by poachers for their tusks and horns – I no longer can stand aside and do nothing!!

I have always been an artist with a huge passion for wildlife and conservation, but the recent spate of horrific killing of wildlife both here in Kenya and elsewhere is breaking my heart. There comes a time when you have to put your money where your mouth is.

I have chosen to paint an elephant as they are the corner stone of the tourism industry that community conservancies like NRT rely on. Community rangers are fighting night and day to protect them against a huge demand for ivory emanating from the Far East.

This imposing oil painting entitled “Northern Ranger”, measures 59 x 59 inches and will be on show at my debut solo exhibition in Edinburgh with Alexander Meddowes Fine Art Broker, 21st - 31st May 2013.
